(Volunteer) Leadership Development Fellow - Fundraising Team

The Global Partnership for Civic Engagement is looking for Volunteers for its Fundraising Team! 

(All volunteers for this position are known as Leadership Development Fellows).

Are you a globally-aware citizen, motivated about the opportunity to make a difference? Is fundraising, grant writing and strategic thinking some of your greatest assets? Can't wait to work and learn with a team of bright minds from around the world? 

As a Fundraising Fellow under the supervision of the Volunteer Fellow Coordinator (and the Executive Director), you will support the organization with the following tasks: 

• Assist in the fundraising effort of the organization (individual donors, foundations, corporate sponsors, etc)
• Craft effective individual fundraising strategies and campaigns in collaboration with the Marketing & Communication fellows
• Draft high-quality foundation grant proposals and letter of inquiries for grant funding applications

Structure:

Please note that this volunteer fellowship is unpaid. Flexible duration, but a minimum of three months of commitment is expected. This volunteering position requires 5 to 15 hours of commitment per week, including 1 hour per week of video-conferencing, to check in and discuss objectives and performance with the Executive Director and Fellow Coordinator. The workload is shared among team members and can be done autonomously on your own schedule.

Requirements:

• Knowledgable and/or experienced working with fundraising (strategy, planning, communication).
• Excellent communication skills and fluent in English.
• Ability to work autonomously, yet never hesitates to ask for help and raise questions
• Familiarity with fundraising on social media is a plus.
• Proficiency with the following tools is a considerable advantage: AirTable, Activecampaign, Donorbox, Stripe, Fluxx.
• Familiarity with global issues, the UN SDGs, and other systemic challenges is highly desirable.
