Passionate Volunteers For Our Urban Farms

The Niles Foundation is seeking dedicated volunteers to join our team for the year 2024. As a volunteer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our urban farming initiatives, greening projects, and community engagement efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planting, maintaining, and harvesting crops in our urban farms.
• Support the development and maintenance of community gardens and green spaces.
• Collaborate with community members and organizations to promote sustainable farming practices and environmental stewardship.
• Assist in organizing and conducting workshops and educational programs on urban farming and greening.
• Participate in community outreach and engagement activities, including attending events and meetings.
• Help coordinate volunteer efforts and community workdays.

Qualifications:

• Passion for urban farming, greening, and environmental sustainability.
• Availability to volunteer regularly throughout the year 2024.
• Basic knowledge and experience in gardening, farming, or horticulture.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Familiarity with local urban farming and greening initiatives is a plus.
