Arts and Crafts Program for children in a postwar and post earthquake area in rural Croatia

Suncokret Centre for Community Development in partnership with Kids Earth Fund Croatia has created an arts and crafts centre for children and youth in a postwar area in Croatia. We conduct arts and crafts activities with children and volunteers to promote social inclusion and non formal learning. Volunteers are welcome to join us and help us improve our art programs for children. We run both a volunteer center and a community center where we work with local children and youth. At the Suncokret community center we provide after school programs for the local children in the community (from Bosnian Croat refugee and Serb returnee families) where we provide everything from educational activities, tutoring, homework help to games, sports, fun and creative workshops. We also conduct eco gardening and maintaining our organic gardens and orchards and conduct eco construction on occasion.

At the moment we are in partnership running the following:

Suncokret Center for Community Development: afterschool non formal learning activities, arts, crafts, sports, games and play for children and youth and we work with the partners below and conduct similar activities as in Suncokret.

Kids Earth Fund Croatia: arts and crafts for children and youth, eco gardening and eco/sustainability activities

In Glina we are working with persons affected by the 2020 earthquakes, creating a children's and youth program with arts, crafts, dance, and sports . Visiting elderly temporarily displaced due to the earthquakes.
