Living Vicky is a US-based, nation-wide non-profit providing a personalized career development program that serves women throughout their work-life by matching them with mentors that help them in reaching their career goals.

We are 11 years strong and still going. Last year we provided 1:1 mentoring for 40 women, most of whom have already met their goals.

We are looking for the following roles:

Chair - Oversees the work of the board and Living Vicky’s senior management team. Works closely with the executive director to make sure board resolutions are carried out. Additional responsibilities include:

• Preside over all board meetings
• Appoint committee chairs and recommending committee members
• Works with the governance committee to identify and recruit new board members
• Leads new board member orientation with support from executive director and Vice Chair
• Serve as an alternate spokesperson for the organization
• Coordinate the executive director’s annual performance review with Executive Board
• Oversee strategic planning process and chairs the Development Committee to ensure financial needs are met
• Help board members assess their performance throughout their tenure

Vice Chair - Carries out special projects as requested by the chair and fills in for the board chair as necessary. Additional responsibilities include:

• Assist the board chair and executive director with new board member orientation
• Leads the governance committee to identify and recruit new board members
• Serve as an alternate spokesperson for the organization
• Manage the annual operating plan
• Coordinates Committee Reporting with leaders of each group for each Board meeting

Secretary - Supports the Executive Board as a keeper of cadence and knowledge

• Schedules all meetings and sends invitations for the Executive Board and regular Board meetings
• Attends all board meetings and maintains complete and accurate meeting minutes
• Monitors compliance with Living Vicky’s bylaws
• Holds responsibility for knowledge management of Living Vicky’s records of incorporation, policies and procedures, business and legal documents, and other such papers.

Treasurer - Tracks Living Vicky’s financial condition and serves as chair of the finance committee and participates in the Development Committee

• Works with the executive director to assure appropriate financial reports are available to the board on a timely basis
• Reviews the annual financial review or annual audit and answers pertinent board member questions.
• Works with Executive Board and Executive Director to craft an annual budget and forecast, as well as keep it current
