Help out at the annual walk to end homelessness in Washington, DC:
Friendship Place Walk!
This year we're hoping for a record turnout-with 200+ people typically attending-so we'll need all the volunteer support that you can provide.
The western end of The Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool is where the rally site and starting line will be. Get ready to feel inspired!
The event begins at 9:30 AM when registration and check-in open. Speeches from local dignitaries, homelessness advocates and supporters begin at 10:30 AM, followed by the walk itself beginning at 11AM.
We'll need volunteers on site at The Lincoln Memorial as early as 8AM to help with setup. You can come for an hour or two or stay the whole time-it's up to you!
To make the walk run smoothly, volunteers are needed to register participants, staff a merchandise/swag table and cheer on the walkers until they reach the finish line.
We may also need your help to load our vehicles with event related items at the end of the event.
