Volunteers are needed to serve as Ombudsmen for local nursing home and assisted living community residents. The goal of the ombudsman program is to ensure the best possible quality of life in Texas long-term care facilities. Ombudsmen also provide information about resident rights and help identify additional resources both in and out of the facility. While in the facility, the volunteer will talk with residents, family members, and guests to identify any complaints or problem. Then, the volunteer will work with those individuals and the staff to resolve these issues. Training is held virtually and the next session starts January 22 2024 at 5:30pm. Please help to make a difference in the lives of our residents!
