When we first opened our doors, it was with the idea of creating a safe place where a person’s physical, emotional and spiritual needs could be met during the end of their life. Today, we still honor that mission and work diligently to ensure that each person we serve is able to receive comfort and peace as they make their transition from life to death. Sobre Nós
Volunteers visit our patients and sit with them for a minimum of 30 minutes per visit. We are very flexible when it comes to scheduling, and the volunteer may visit as many or little patients as they would like throughout the month. Here are some examples of direct care activities that they can do with the patients at their bedside
- Art
- Music/play instruments/sing etc.
- Read a book
- Watch TV
- Paint nails
- Shopping-errands, grocery store, etc.
- Provide general companionship
