Harris County Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program

  • Missão

The Harris County Long-term Care Ombudsman Program advocates for optimal quality of life and quality of care for residents in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Residents and their families are served by developing and using the talents and efforts of specially trained volunteers and paid staff to represent the interests of residents who live in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

    Sobre Nós

The Long-Term Care (LTC) Ombudsman Program is federally mandated under the 1978 amendments to the Older Americans Act. The Program helps residents, family, and staff achieve the best possible quality of life in Texas LTC facilities.

It is also a helpful source of information about choosing a long-term care facility. It provides information on resident's rights, eligibility criteria, and other services for the elderly.
