Our mission is to transform the lives of abused children by providing them with CASAs. VFC believes that every child deserves a safe and permanent home, and to that end, our vision is to provide a CASA to every child in foster care who needs one, monitor every court file in the system, and advocate to improve the lives of Riverside and San Diego County’s foster children. ABOUT THE POSITION
The Human Resource Manager will report to the President & CEO and is responsible for oversight of all human resource functions at Voices for Children (VFC) and its employees. The Human Resource Manager supervises the Human Resource Generalist and advises the President & CEO, CFO, and other members of the leadership team regarding HR matters. This role demands strong collaboration skills to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of HR services to internal and external customers and plays a key role in maintaining compliance with grants, contracts, and applicable state, federal, and local laws.
The Human Resource Manager has responsibility for the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, timekeeping and payroll support, employee development and training, health & safety, performance management, recruitment/hiring/onboarding new staff, employee terminations, policy implementation and guidance, leave administration, and employment law compliance. The HR Manager furthers VFC’s commitment to embracing a diverse and equitable workplace.
The Human Resource Manger must handle matters confidentially and apply the strictest security when the need arises, whether the items are labeled confidential or not. This employee must work as a committed member of the Voices for Children team.

COMPENSATION & WORK SCHEDULE
Starting Pay Rate for this position is $48-52 per hour D.O.E.
The standard work week for this position is 20 hours; however, employees are expected to work any additional time necessary to meet deadlines and complete assignments. Evenings and weekends may be required. Additional hours are subject to overtime pay. The VFC office is open for business Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This position does allow for hybrid work. Permission to work remotely is determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to performance, operational demands, essential duties, and responsibilities.
