About the Better Food Foundation

Position Overview
We're seeking a Program Assistant to support our virtual team with project management, scheduling, data tracking, event planning and record-keeping tasks. You'll strengthen our programs—especially the DefaultVeg Campus Program—to advance our mission of normalizing plant-based food.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Support
- Drive project timelines and deliverables
- Coordinate internal/external meetings and webinars
- Leverage AI and digital tools for meeting management
- Support virtual and in-person event planning
Data & Systems Management
- Maintain program data, surveys, and reporting systems
- Organize digital assets across Google Drive and Basecamp
- Process student applications and manage interview scheduling
- Monitor and respond to program inquiries across digital channels
Community & Content Support
- Facilitate engagement with ambassador communities via Circle platform
- Track and document success stories for promotional content
- Monitor industry news and relevant updates
- Create educational promotional materials using Canva
- Mentor student interns and conduct partnership research
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's/Associate's degree with 1+ year professional experience OR 3+ years administrative experience
- Strong digital proficiency with Google Suite, Basecamp, Zoom, and Canva
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills
- Alignment with our mission to create plant-centered food systems
Preferred
- Experience in nonprofits (environment, health, and/or animal protection)
Details
Contract Position: 20-25 hours weekly (remote) with potential for long-term role
Compensation: $2,200-$2,500 monthly Location: Remote (PST time zone preferred)
