The Opportunity
MacDowell, America’s first multidisciplinary artist residency program, seeks a Salesforce Systems Administrator (SFSA) for a full-time, remote position starting in March 2026. Since its founding in 1907, MacDowell has provided crucial time and space to more than 9,000 artists working across a variety of disciplines. MacDowell Fellowships have supported James Baldwin, Celine Song, Meredith Monk, Isabel Sandoval, Michael Chabon, Bebe Miller, Paula Vogel, Faith Ringgold, and many others in creating their enduring works of the imagination.
In this newly created position, the SFSA will work under the Executive Director and Senior Strategist, Digital Systems to implement and maintain MacDowell’s Salesforce platform and related integrations. MacDowell is currently in the second phase of a multi-year systems modernization project. Over the next year, the SFSA will work alongside external Salesforce consultants and an internal team of cross-departmental “Super Users” to roll out and fine tune Salesforce solutions across the organization and train users to successfully adopt new workflows and applications.
The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 2 years of experience in Salesforce administration for a nonprofit organization with more than 20 users, and have the proven ability to build custom applications, workflows, and third-party integrations based on the organization’s needs. We are looking for a highly organized project manager with exceptional quantitative skills and a high level of proficiency in data management, data analysis, and problem solving. A warm customer service orientation and the ability to create and implement clear and effective training materials for users with varying degrees of comfort with technology are must haves for this position.
