    Descrição

The Director of Corporate and Midlevel Giving is a new, full-time position responsible for strengthening and growing Potomac Conservancy’s fundraising program by building and managing relationships with key donor constituencies. This role focuses on developing a strong pipeline of midlevel individual and corporate donors, and recurring supporters to increase contributed revenue through gifts, sponsorships, and events.

Working under the Senior Director of Development and closely with the Development and Program teams, the Director will identify and cultivate prospects, steward existing donors, and create meaningful engagement opportunities that deepen connection to Potomac Conservancy’s mission. The position plays a critical role in donor retention and upgrade strategies, helping move supporters toward higher levels of giving while ensuring thoughtful coordination across fundraising efforts.

Potomac Conservancy is a nationally accredited land trust and clean water leader in the Potomac River region. We’re committed to restoring the Potomac to full health for the five million people who rely on the river for drinking water and outdoor enjoyment. By protecting and restoring natural areas, we reduce water pollution, stop reckless deforestation/habitat destruction, and strengthen our community’s defenses against the climate crisis. Our impassioned base of over 35,000 supporters empowers us to conserve and expand streamside forests, pass water protection laws, and restore habitat and shorelines.

    • Steward corporate donors with tailored communications showing impact

Monthly and Workplace Giving – 10%

    • Renew annual applications for workplace giving programs such as Earthshare
    • Steward workplace donors for whom we receive gift attribution

    Documentation and recordkeeping – 5%

    • Ensure that meaningful personal touches are recorded in the donor database
    • Track donor upgrade and retention among assigned donor constituencies.

    QUALIFICATIONS*
