N Street Village is the largest provider of housing and supportive services for women experiencing homelessness in Washington, D.C. We are seeking a mission-driven and strategic fundraising professional to join our team and play a critical role in advancing this work.
Position Overview
The Senior Major Gifts Officer is responsible for building and managing a high-impact portfolio of major donors and prospects with the capacity to give five- and six-figure gifts. This role develops and executes strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward transformational philanthropic support. Working closely with leadership, this position drives revenue growth that strengthens long-term sustainability and advances the organization’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a major gifts program focused on gifts of $10,000 and above
- Manage and engage a portfolio of major donors and prospects
- Develop individualized donor strategies
- Identify and qualify new prospects
- Execute moves management strategies
- Conduct donor outreach through meetings, calls, and events
- Maintain donor records in Raiser’s Edge NXT
- Track and report on fundraising performance
- Meet or exceed annual fundraising goals
- Collaborate with internal teams to communicate impact
Qualifications
- 7 to 10 years of major gifts fundraising experience
- Proven success securing significant gifts
- Strong relationship building skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with donor databases such as Raiser’s Edge
- Strong organizational and strategic thinking skills
- Bachelor’s degree required
