    We are seeking a mission-driven and strategic fundraising professional to join our team and play a critical role in advancing this work.

    Position Overview

    The Senior Major Gifts Officer is responsible for building and managing a high-impact portfolio of major donors and prospects with the capacity to give five- and six-figure gifts. This role develops and executes strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward transformational philanthropic support. Working closely with leadership, this position drives revenue growth that strengthens long-term sustainability and advances the organization’s mission.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and grow a major gifts program focused on gifts of $10,000 and above
    • Manage and engage a portfolio of major donors and prospects
    • Develop individualized donor strategies
    • Identify and qualify new prospects
    • Execute moves management strategies
    • Conduct donor outreach through meetings, calls, and events
    • Maintain donor records in Raiser’s Edge NXT
    • Track and report on fundraising performance
    • Meet or exceed annual fundraising goals
    • Collaborate with internal teams to communicate impact

    Qualifications

    • 7 to 10 years of major gifts fundraising experience
    • Proven success securing significant gifts
    • Strong relationship building skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Experience with donor databases such as Raiser’s Edge
    • Strong organizational and strategic thinking skills
    • Bachelor’s degree required
