The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) is the national voice for academic nursing. AACN works to establish quality standards for nursing education; assists schools in implementing those standards; influences the nursing profession to improve health care; and promotes public support for professional nursing education, research, and practice.
Position Summary
Provides high-level general and administrative support for a variety of association activities including the Graduate Nursing Student Academy (GNSA) and other Student Initiatives.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Requirements
AACN promotes higher education; therefore, a Baccalaureate degree is preferred. Equivalent training and work experience may be substituted for some positions.
At least 2 years of administrative or coordinator experience, preferably in an association
Must be highly organized, detail oriented, flexible and collaborative, and have good interpersonal skills. Excellent ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Familiarity with standard office equipment and practices including use of computers, email etiquette, phones, photocopiers, filing and organizing.
Familiarity with AMS/CRM database systems and Adobe Photoshop or Canva.
Compensation Range
$58,000 - $64,000
