POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: Certified Athletic Trainer — Per Diem
Saint Ann's School is a non-sectarian independent school in Brooklyn, New York serving students in Preschool through 12th grade. We are looking for a per-diem Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to support games. This coverage will help ensure consistent athletic training services and appropriate student-athlete support during scheduled athletic activities. We seek a certified athletic trainer who is excited to maintain the health and well-being of the students and is committed to working with students and colleagues from different backgrounds. The ATC must be invested in the school’s ongoing Institutional Diversity and Belonging work. We are looking for someone who is flexible, has strong cooperative skills, and who is willing to share their enthusiasm with colleagues and students. Through our interscholastic sports program we compete in several independent school leagues in New York City.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The per-diem Athletic Trainer reports to the School’s head Athletic Trainer and Co-Chairs of Recreational Arts. This individual is responsible for the health and well being of student athletes through the care and prevention of athletic injuries.
Game Coverage:
- Injury evaluation and management, emergency care, injury prevention, taping and bracing, and appropriate documentation. Ensure student-athletes receive timely and appropriate care before, during, and after games.
Maintain a collegial communication chain between:
- Co-Chairs of Recreational Arts
- Head Athletic Trainer
- Coaches
- Student-Athletes
- Athletic Trainers at other schools
PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s OR Master's degree in Athletic Training from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE)
- NYS license
- BOC Certification (BOC)
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Background Check
- NYS Education Department Fingerprinted
- Ability to travel and work afternoons/evenings as needed
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
