As our Project Manager – Laos, you’ll be a driving force behind research, service design, and community engagement, helping us expand our impact in Laos. Your role will include:
Key Responsibilities
Research the prevalence of TFGBV in Laos
- Continue scoping organizations, initiatives, and resources addressing TFGBV in Laos.
- Lead the research to understand the prevalence and diversity of types of TFGBV faced by women leaders in Laos.
- Analyze the platforms, perpetrators and mechanisms through which online harms are perpetrated against women leaders in Laos, and characterize the nature of those harm in relation to technology platforms and the socio-political context.
- Explore collaboration with local women’s organizations and civic technology platforms for distribution of a survey.
Lead the set up of "Online Ambulance Service"
- Collaborate with the Stop online harm team to establish an online support service tailored to local needs.
- Identify and engage with mental health and psychological support professionals to support the Online Ambulance service
- Develop protocols and workflows for effective service delivery.
- Assist in creating partnerships and collaborations to enhance service delivery and broaden reach.
Campaign and Outreach:
- Collaborate with the Stop online harm team to design and implement targeted social media campaigns to raise awareness about TFGBV and our Online Ambulance.
- Develop communications materials from the findings of the research to catalyze public awareness of the structural and gendered nature of online harm.
- Support the development of accessible and culturally appropriate campaign materials.
The ideal candidate for this role:
- Is a self-starter. You work independently and proactively. We’re looking for people who bring ideas and tell us what’s needed—not the other way around. This is non-negotiable.
- Has at least 3 years of experience in project management, research, nonprofit or related fields.
- Understands social media deeply. You know how to use it for impact, outreach, and storytelling.
- Has experience in product management. Having a background in product management or developing digital services would be a big plus
- Has strong networks. Connections with NGOs, feminist groups, or digital rights communities in Laos would be a big plus.
- Is proactive, communicative, and reliable. You keep things moving, keep people informed, and deliver on time.
- Is fluent in Lao and English. You’re comfortable working and writing in both languages.
