At Stop Online Harm, we believe that everyone deserves to feel safe online. We’re a women-led, high-impact organization dedicated to tackling one of the world’s most urgent and complex problems: Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV).

Our mission is survivor-first, not donor-driven. We support survivors, influence policies, and build innovative services that save lives and futures. And we’re looking for a brilliant Project Manager to help lead our work in Laos!

As our Project Manager – Laos, you’ll be a driving force behind research, service design, and community engagement, helping us expand our impact in Laos. Your role will include:

    Key Responsibilities

Research the prevalence of TFGBV in Laos

    • Continue scoping organizations, initiatives, and resources addressing TFGBV in Laos.
    • Lead the research to understand the prevalence and diversity of types of TFGBV faced by women leaders in Laos.
    • Analyze the platforms, perpetrators and mechanisms through which online harms are perpetrated against women leaders in Laos, and characterize the nature of those harm in relation to technology platforms and the socio-political context.
    • Explore collaboration with local women’s organizations and civic technology platforms for distribution of a survey.

Lead the set up of "Online Ambulance Service"

    • Collaborate with the Stop online harm team to establish an online support service tailored to local needs.
    • Identify and engage with mental health and psychological support professionals to support the Online Ambulance service
    • Develop protocols and workflows for effective service delivery.
    • Assist in creating partnerships and collaborations to enhance service delivery and broaden reach.

    Campaign and Outreach:

    • Collaborate with the Stop online harm team to design and implement targeted social media campaigns to raise awareness about TFGBV and our Online Ambulance.
    • Develop communications materials from the findings of the research to catalyze public awareness of the structural and gendered nature of online harm.
    • Support the development of accessible and culturally appropriate campaign materials.

The ideal candidate for this role:

    • Is a self-starter. You work independently and proactively. We’re looking for people who bring ideas and tell us what’s needed—not the other way around. This is non-negotiable.
    • Has at least 3 years of experience in project management, research, nonprofit or related fields.
    • Understands social media deeply. You know how to use it for impact, outreach, and storytelling.
    • Has experience in product management. Having a background in product management or developing digital services would be a big plus
    • Has strong networks. Connections with NGOs, feminist groups, or digital rights communities in Laos would be a big plus.
    • Is proactive, communicative, and reliable. You keep things moving, keep people informed, and deliver on time.
    • Is fluent in Lao and English. You’re comfortable working and writing in both languages.

    Why Join the Team?

    • Meaningful Impact & Competitive Pay. Be part of work that truly matters, helping protect women and communities online.
    • Fully Remote & 4-Day Work Week. Enjoy the freedom of remote work and a shorter workweek. We’re serious about work-life balance. Take the time you need to rest and recharge—we trust you to manage your schedule and deliver your best.
    • Wellbeing Matters. Benefit from a personal self-care budget each month and free mental health support so you can thrive both professionally and personally.
    • Personal & Professional Growth. We invest in you. As our organization grows, this role offers exciting potential to evolve into a senior leadership position, giving you the chance to shape the future of our mission and take on strategic responsibilities.
