LOCATION + TRAVEL:
The Director of Out of School Time Programs oversees two programs located at our headquarters in Boston, MA (club48 and CAC), as well as our summer camp, Camp Hale, located in Sandwich, New Hampshire.
Because Camp Hale is running at the same time as club48 is operating at full days during summer break, the Director of OST will need to have a physical presence at both locations during the summer months. For summer 2026, this will look like alternating weeks between our Boston headquarters and our New Hampshire Camp Hale location.
During the summer, the Director of OOST will support Camp Hale transitions between sessions, including supporting the Associate Director of Camp Hale in managing bus pickups/drop-offs. Since the transitions between sessions take place during weekends, this role will require work during most weekends during the summer months. When weekend time is required, there is flexibility to have time off during the week. The Director of OST will also be asked to attend certain special events at Camp, including key donor meetings. While at Camp, room and board (including meals) will be provided, and mileage will be reimbursed for travel between MA and NH.
Outside of the summer months, this role will be based at our headquarters in Boston, MA.

USES’s club48 Out of School Time program challenges children to become confident problem solvers and complex thinkers. We serve up to 52 children, ages 5–12, who are enrolled in public school grades K1 through 7. Our Group Leaders design and facilitate engaging, STEAM-focused lessons in a structured and supportive afterschool environment. Through intentional programming, we build confidence, resilience, leadership skills, and healthy relationships that foster strong self-esteem while children learn, grow, and have fun. The club48 program operates year-round and is open Monday through Friday, from 2:00pm to 6:00 pm. We expand to full-day programming (8:00am-6:00pm) on BPS Snow Days, School Vacations and over the summer. We offer sliding scale Department of Early Education and Care subsidized slots and accept vouchers.
