Position Summary:
The Field Deputy serves as a key representative of the Council President, acting as a liaison to constituents, community-based organizations (including schools and faith institutions), local businesses, City departments, government agencies, and other stakeholders throughout the district. This role offers the unique opportunity to be on the front lines of community change—turning residents’ concerns into action, building coalitions around shared priorities, and directly improving lives across South LA. The ideal candidate brings a strong commitment to public service, a passion for South Los Angeles, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and the ability to thrive as part of a dynamic, mission-driven team.
