    Descrição

    Position Summary

The Chief Digital Media Officer is the architect and executive lead for Galvanize USA and Galvanize Action’s full content and audience ecosystem — a multi-brand, multi-platform media network designed to become a cultural force in the lives of 24 million women by 2030. This leader turns research-backed insights into high-performing, values-driven programming that earns attention, keeps audiences coming back, and measurably shifts worldview.

This role requires someone who can see the entire system — multiple brands, formats, platforms, and entities — and bring coherence, sequencing, and creative excellence to all of it. They hold the programming calendars, narrative arcs, production pipeline, and cross-entity compliance, ensuring paid and organic strategies work together to create sustained persuasion impact at scale.

They directly manage program directors, managers, producers, and coach teams to move with clarity, and build the operational infrastructure needed for a high-volume media operation. They balance the art and the science: creative instinct sharpened by audience insights, testing, evaluation, and a deep understanding of digital behavior.

    Ideal Candidate

You are an ecosystem thinker, a strategist with a creative director’s eye, and an operator who can turn narrative strategy into a clear, cohesive programming plan. You understand what earns and sustains attention in a crowded digital landscape. You know how emotionally resonant content shifts worldview over time, and you have led teams that do this at scale.

You have built or run multi-brand media programs, know how to set a high creative bar, and can design the organizational structure and workflows required for fast, disciplined, audience-led experimentation. You are an exceptional people leader who provides clarity and confidence, and fosters a culture of curiosity, accountability, and continual learning.

You bring mastery of content ecosystems, platforms, audience growth, persuasive storytelling, and the responsible use of AI and insights to accelerate quality and velocity.

    Responsibilities and Tasks

    • Drive the overarching narrative, persuasion strategy, and audience journey for all content across the ecosystem.
    • Ensure all programs create content that earns attention, builds trust, increases return visits, and measurably shifts worldview over time.
    • Maintain a cohesive, emotionally resonant, and persuasive narrative across multiple brands, formats, and platforms.
    • Lead, mentor, and manage program directors, managers, and producers to deliver high-quality, high-impact programming; foster a culture of innovation, clarity, accountability, and professional growth.
    • Own ecosystem-wide sequencing, prioritization, and programming calendars — ensuring clarity on what is happening, when, and why.
    • Translate strategy into actionable briefs, budgets, timelines, and operational workflows.
    • Approve creative direction across programs and uphold a high creative standard for storytelling, voice, and visual identity.
    • Ensure paid strategy drives both audience growth and measurable persuasion — not simply distribution.
    • Oversee production operations so content moves seamlessly from strategy → creative → production → distribution → evaluation.
    • Partner with Research leadership to ensure testing, experimentation, and evaluation are embedded from the start across all programming.
    • Build a fast-learning culture with disciplined experimentation, rapid evaluation, and continual iteration.
    • Operate confidently within a multi-entity ecosystem and ensure all programming adheres to compliance requirements and narrative guardrails.
    • Make strategic budget decisions across paid, production, technology, and staffing aligned to audience impact and ROI.
    • Collaborate with Communications, Development, and Partnerships to ensure narrative alignment and leverage high-performing content in external storytelling and fundraising.
    • Participate as a member of the senior Leadership Team.
    • All employees of Hopewell Fund must complete timesheets.
    • Performs other duties as needed.

Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Ability

    Education & Experience

    • 8+ years leading digital media, multi-platform media, or large-scale content ecosystems.
    • Demonstrated ability to shift worldview, drive persuasion outcomes, or sustain meaningful engagement — beyond reach and impressions.
    • Experience launching, growing, and managing digital media brands or products at scale.
    • Proven success managing senior-level strategists, creatives, producers, and paid media leads. Agency or multi-brand experience is strongly preferred.
    • Experience operating within multi-entity environments with fluency in compliance and narrative guardrails.
    • Track record of making budget decisions grounded in prioritization, impact, and ROI.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Master-level understanding of digital engagement: platform algorithms, retention mechanics, audience behavior, and what drives repeat engagement.
    • Deep fluency in orchestrating complex content ecosystems — ensuring multiple programs and calendars ladder up to one cohesive, emotionally resonant narrative strategy.
    • Strong creative vision; ability to guide teams to produce content that is compelling, values-led, and persuasive.
    • Skilled at embedding experimentation, measurement, and evaluation into strategy, production, and distribution from the outset.
    • Excellent communicator who simplifies complexity and brings clarity, alignment, and momentum across teams.
    • Adept at leading content development at the intersection of equity, persuasion, and cultural resonance — ensuring content never harms or dehumanizes while meeting audiences where they are and guiding them toward progress.
    • Comfortable leveraging modern tools (including AI-driven creative tools, insights platforms, and workflow systems) to increase quality, velocity, and learning.
