    Summary

    The Donor Engagement Manager is an integral member of MiracleFeet’s Fundraising team, responsible for overseeing and making strategic decisions related to the donor database and donor engagement operations. This position manages all aspects of the donor database and supports the operations of a high performing, mission-driven team. The Donor Engagement Manager is responsible for leading the organization of fundraising campaigns in close collaboration with communications & marketing colleagues, carrying out stewardship activities and donor communications, managing MiracleFeet’s peer-to-peer fundraiser platform and inquiries, and providing positive donor experiences and interactions.

    The Donor Engagement Manager reports to the Deputy Director of Fundraising on the Development & Communications team. This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position. Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. MiracleFeet will not sponsor employment visas.

    Essential Functions

    Data Management and Financial Reconciliation

    • Take ownership of the donor databases and online accounts (Raiser’s Edge NXT , Classy, Omatic, etc), including oversight of structure, renewals, data integrity, resolving technical issues, and usage protocols.
    • Record all gifts and update donor information in the Raiser’s Edge (Blackbaud) donor database. Collaborate with Admin and Finance teams on gift processing.
    • Identify high-net-worth donors and large gifts for further research and follow-up.
    • Serve as the internal expert and primary decision maker for donor data workflows and gift tracking methodology.
    • On a routine and ad hoc basis, pull detailed reports from the donor database, including donor/gift lists, benchmark data, financial reports, and other data sets.
    • Perform routine maintenance of donor database to ensure the health of data.
    • Monitor and coordinate fundraising tools subscriptions such as Blackbaud, Classy, Double the Donation, etc.
    • Collaborate with Finance team to complete monthly reconciliation and prepare monthly fundraising reports for fundraising and leadership teams.
    • Manage and update core documents for development team including prospect pipeline, top donor reports, and fundraising board committee requested reports.

    Fundraising Campaign Execution

    • Liaise with Marketing team to manage fundraising campaign logistics (including mailing list creation and donor segmentation) and develop solicitation strategies.
    • Coordinate with third party vendors to support completion of campaign collateral materials and mailings.
    • Gather campaign performance data to conduct thorough analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for future campaigns.
    • Create and coordinate fiscal year solicitation mailing calendar (to include 3+ major mailing campaigns and multiple smaller targeted campaigns).
    • Analyze donor database to support the creation of tailored communications to different donor segments (recurring donors, age segments, planned giving prospects, etc.).

    Donor Cultivation and Stewardship

    • Process and mail gift receipts, acknowledgments, and other donor communications.
    • Develop and implement strategies for stewardship and retention of donors via recurring gifts, peer to peer fundraising, and other creative giving avenues.
    • Support peer-to-peer fundraising donors, developing creative options and toolkits for a seamless “plug and play” experience
    • Manage relationships with a profile of donors including recurring donors, peer-to-peer donors, and others.
    • Create and manage HNWI prospect research process.

    Administration and Project Management

    • Coordinate weekly team meeting agendas, prepare relevant materials, action items, and take and distribute team meeting minutes.
    • Provide general administrative support for Deputy Director and Chief Development Officer and liaise with needs between the leadership and other team members.
    • Manage and renew Charity Watchdog ratings and other memberships to include BBB, Great Nonprofits, Candid, Charity Navigator, Guidestar, NC State Employees Combined Campaign, etc.
    • Manage and communicate with vendors and other third parties research new vendors to find creative solutions as needed.
    • Support Annual Report development process (providing fundraising numbers, donor lists, and ideas for donor features) led by Marketing colleagues.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
    • At least three years of professional work experience, ideally in a nonprofit setting, or in customer service or business administration roles.
    • At least 1 year experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT or similar CRM system.
    • High level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Experience using MailChimp and mail merge is a plus.
    • Able to work well in a team environment, handle multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Proven ability to make data-informed decisions, implement process improvements, and take full ownership of database administration.
    • Strong customer service skills and ability to build rapport via phone and email.
    • Familiarity with technology platforms and comfort learning and managing database systems.
    • Knowledge of fundamental fundraising principles and practices.
    • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
    • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills.
    • Initiative and independence in carrying out responsibilities and problem-solving unexpected issues quickly.
    • Commitment to maintain confidentiality and a high degree of accuracy in donor records.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize information.
    • Demonstrated motivational and problem-solving capabilities with a high degree of integrity, ethics, judgment, and dedication to MiracleFeet’s mission.

    We offer a benefits package that includes 90% coverage of medical insurance for the employee, with the option to add family members and dental and vision at employee’s expense. This is a full-time, salaried position with an annual salary of $55,000 and may be performed remotely from anywhere within the United States.
