    Descrição

    The Mediation and Conflict Resolution Center (MCRC) is a private nonprofit organization serving Howard County, Maryland. MCRC supports individuals and communities through restorative practices, mediation, group facilitation, and community education, grounded in values of radical inclusion, shared responsibility, transparency, and care.

    MCRC seeks an Operations & Grants Manager to partner with the Executive Director in stewarding the organization’s operational systems, grants administration, and internal communications. This role supports the smooth functioning of the organization by tending to both the technical and relational infrastructure that allows MCRC’s mission to be carried forward with integrity.

    The Operations & Grants Manager approaches grants, data, and operations not only as compliance requirements, but as tools for learning, accountability, and shared stewardship of resources. The role works collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and Board members to support sustainability, accessibility, and trust.

    This is a 28-hour per week position reporting to the Executive Director.

    Key Areas of Responsibility

    Grants Administration & Information Stewardship

    • Implement, streamline, and evaluate grants administration processes in alignment with organizational values and funder requirements
    • Screen grant applications and reporting materials for completeness and clarity; follow up with applicants as needed
    • Maintain accurate and timely records of all grantmaking and grant-related activities
    • Track expenses, payments and reporting deadlines; send reminders and updates to the Executive Director and Program Managers as needed
    • Attend occasional nonprofit site visits and meetings; record notes and minutes

    Office & Organizational Administration

    • Provide administrative support to Program Managers, the Executive Director, and the Board of Directors
    • Respond to routine inquiries about MCRC programs, priorities, and processes with clarity and warmth
    • Support policy and procedures development as well as revisions
    • Coordinate logistics for community gatherings, volunteer convenings, and site visits, as requested

    Data Coordination & Reporting

    • Manage organizational data and generate reports within grants management and/or customer relationship management systems
    • Support accurate, ethical data practices that reflect respect for participants, partners, and funders

    Volunteer Coordination Support

    • Support volunteer application review, interview coordination, and orientation processes
    • Assist with systems that welcome, orient, and support volunteers with care and clarity

    Reporting, Communications & Board Support

    • Prepare reports, summaries, and updates for the Board of Directors
    • Take minutes at Board meetings and other MCRC meetings as needed
    • Support the development and implementation of communications strategies, including website content, newsletters, social media, and print materials
    • Assist the Board President, Executive Director, and Program Managers with special projects as needed
