More than anything, Haiti Communitere is a large space, located in Port-au-Prince which is currently one of the most difficult and dangerous cities in the world. But as anyone who has worked or lived in Haiti can attest: when you have space you can make good things happen.
We offer accommodation to medically fragile chidlren and their families and we are also a community resource center hosting small organizations. Haiti Communitere is open six days a week every week. This enables us to offer our partners consistency, which is very important in a country where things seem to change from one day to the next.
We are an oasis of calm and a garden where families and young people can feel at home, a training space where people can participate in workshops and a workspace where organizations can have the stability to better do their job.
