Terra Firma National

Terra Firma, founded in 2013, is a nationally recognized program designed to address the complex medical, mental health and legal needs of newly arrived unaccompanied immigrant children and families seeking humanitarian protection in the United States. Our mission is to ensure that unaccompanied immigrant children and newly arrived families have access to quality healthcare and legal representation, attain safety and stability, and enhance their resilience to achieve their full potential. Our holistic, wrap-around model provides co-located healthcare and legal services in a state-of-the-art Federally-Qualified community health center in the South Bronx. To expand the direct services of our flagship program and build a national network of replication sites, Terra Firma launched a non-profit organization in 2021, Terra Firma National.
