The Volunteer Theatre Actors' Association, a charitable organization, was founded to advocate for the needs of volunteer and low-wage theatre actors; and to support the community theatres they perform in.
Specifically, our goals are to advocate for community theater actors by: 1) ensuring that the theaters they perform in adhere to basic standards of health, safety, and care; 2) obtaining funding / contributions to provide actors with support to help them flourish personally and professionally; and 3) working with community theaters to ensure theaters continue to have the resources and cooperation necessary to develop engaging theatrical experiences for the benefit of their communities.The Volunteer Theatre Actors' Association, a charitable organization, was founded to advocate for the needs of volunteer and low-wage theatre actors; and to support the community theatres they perform in.
