It was named after the famous Greek myth of Damon and Pythias which illustrates the Pythagorean ideal of friendship. The Damon Foundation was incorporated in 1981 and was specifically established as the funding arm of Damon House. For over 40-years, Damon House has been a beacon of hope, reinvention, and transformation for thousands of clients and families impacted by substance use disorder and drug dependence.
