The Hip Hop Education Project

Mission: The Hip Hop Education Project is a comprehensive community development project that listens to communities and develops solutions to community problems.
We also teach kids in grades 6-12 to be brilliant revolutionaries at our school: The Hip Hop Academy
Programs and Services Offered:
- Student-led community development skills training and support
- Adult Education Courses
- Courses on College Readiness for Students and Families
- Community development requests (so folks can ask for potholes in their neighborhood or ask us to help them organize for low-cost quality childcare)
- Academic Tutoring
- Summer Academies
All in all we complete about 40 community development projects, led by students in both Providence and Oakland per year!
