Missão
Helping Paws is a volunteer based nonprofit organization whose mission is to further people's independence and quality of life through the use of Assistance Dogs. Serving people with physical disabilities, veterans and first responders with service-related PTSD, and facility dogs in mental health and courthouse settings.
Sobre Nós
Helping Paws began 1n 1988 and has placed over 231 service dogs to people in need. We train golden retrievers and labrador retrievers for two and a half years and then place them with an individual with a physical disability or a veteran affected by PTSD. Service dogs can be trained to open and close doors, pick up dropped items, pull wheelchairs, and so much more! These dogs are also wonderful friends who offer their owners unconditional love.
