    FOUNDING PRINCIPLES:

Caplin Family Charities (CF Charities) was created in response to the oral health care crisis affecting America’s most disadvantaged children.
Some staggering facts surrounding this ongoing crisis:

    • America’s youngest and poorest children (ages two to five and living below the poverty level) have about five times as much tooth decay as children in higher income families.
    • Approximately 80% of tooth decay remains untreated in poor children.
    • Enrollment in oral health careers from minority American students has remained stagnant at an average of only five percent.
