CornerHouse is a great community resource that is on the frontlines of child abuse; assuring that the voices of children, adolescents, and vulnerable adults are heard. CornerHouse is also valued as an industry resource; teaching and sharing best practices, observations, and techniques in forensic interviewing.

Founded in 1989 at the inception of the Children’s Advocacy Center model, CornerHouse was created to provide a safe, child‑centered space for children and families impacted by abuse. As one of the first centers of its kind, CornerHouse pioneered the CornerHouse Forensic Interview Protocol™, which has since become a nationally and internationally recognized standard. For more than 35 years, we have stood as a trusted place of safety, healing, and hope for thousands of children and families.

CornerHouse exists to reduce trauma, end abuse, and strengthen communities. We do this by:

• Providing forensic interviews, advocacy, and therapeutic services for children, adolescents, and caregivers
• Offering prevention education that empowers communities to stop abuse before it begins
• Training child welfare professionals, law enforcement, and community members nationwide to recognize and respond effectively to abuse
