Central American Healthcare Initiative

CAHI was founded in 2012 to develop, support, and promote innovative, efficient healthcare management and delivery in Central America. Our work is guided by our shared values of empowerment, solidarity, leadership, equity, transparency, collaboration, teamwork, service, perseverance, creativity, inclusion, and excellence.

CAHI’s goal is to ensure that every health professional and community leader in Central America who is committed to becoming an agent of change and working to improve health in their community has the technical capacity, leadership skills, and peer support they need to creatively and successfully solve health challenges in their communities.

CAHI is creating a robust network of health professionals and community leaders who are committed to improving the health of their communities and capable of affecting lasting change. Together we are working toward the vision that all Central Americans have meaningful access to healthcare without regard to their socioeconomic status or geographical location and have an equal opportunity to lead healthy, productive lives.
