The Foundation for Science and Mathematics Education secures the support to provide opportunities to every student at the New Orleans Charter Science and Mathematics High School (Sci High). 

We believe that the futures of our city’s young people and our city itself are intertwined. The tools of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) offer us so much possibility. By joining or supporting our community, you are leading the way to making those possibilities a reality.

Since 2005, the Foundation has been dedicated to providing critical resources for innovative STEM education and workforce development to ensure that every New Orleanian can contribute to our wellbeing and innovation through the tools of math and science.

We see and celebrate students for the curious and complex individuals they are. Support provides critical educational programming designed to prepare students to not only secure high-demand, high-wage jobs, but to become the next generation of leaders in STEM industries. 

The structure of the school is divided among three distinct but related organizations:

1. The school itself
2. The governing board known as the Advocates
3. The fundraising board, The Foundation for Science and Mathematics Education (FSME), which is independently incorporated
