Trans Rescue is aDutch NGO that helps mostly trans, intersex, and genderqueer people escape from places where being trans is dangerous, using the 1951 UN Refugee Convention.
To date we have helped about 165 people, from Uganda, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Egypt, Kenya, Sudan, S Sudan, Nigeria, Ghana, Indonesia, Jamaica, Rwanda, Tanzania, Zambia, S Africa, and other places.
We are not people smugglers. Our passengers move by normal air or train travel, not in containers. Our passengers present valid papers at border controls.
We have volunteers in many places across the world. We have about 40 currently active volunteers.
