Media For Texas

Media for Texas is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit powering the future of film and media in the Lone Star State. Through workforce training, community building, and statewide advocacy, we're developing a thriving ecosystem where stories and media are made in Texas – by Texans – and shared with the world.

We're involved at every step, from classrooms to sets - connecting students with real production opportunities and helping veterans translate their discipline and skills into meaningful careers in film and media. We work alongside the industry to drive economic development — keeping productions, jobs, and dollars in Texas — and we advocate at every level to ensure the policies and incentives that make it all possible stay strong.

We work on a few things: getting veterans and students trained and connected to real work on set, helping productions find the Texas crew and infrastructure they need, and advocating for the policies that keep the industry here long-term. We helped push SB22 across the finish line in 2025, securing $1.5 billion in film incentives, and now we're focused on making sure the workforce exists to back it up.

We serve veterans transitioning into civilian careers, students pursuing their first break in the industry, working crew members looking to level up, and the productions, studios, and partners who need reliable Texas talent to get the job done. Our work is statewide and our commitment is long-term.
