ONG EDUCATION ET DEVELOPPEMENT (ONGED) is a non-profit, non-political, secular and non-discriminatory institution that seeks solely to contribute to the improvement of living conditions in communities.
ONGED promotes a culture based on the sustainable and full development of human beings. Its mission is to serve the neglected people in the countryside communities composed of poor peasants in rural areas, to improve the health of poor individuals, and to educate people about the protection of the environment. It also strives to help jobless youth to work in the farming business so as to stop migration, to promote social welfare and to alleviate poverty.
Its mission is to promote a culture focused on the integral development of individuals and their communities; to help improve school life by providing material assistance to schoolchildren, students and eventually university students; to work to improve the health of everyone by promoting traditional medicine (and conventional medicine where necessary) and by promoting information, education and communication (IEC) in the fight against malaria and all virulent, contagious or endemic diseases; sensitize and educate the population to environmental protection in the fight against climate change and act to protect nature; work to employ young graduates in agro-pastoralism or other trades; sensitize and bring together women and girls in economic interest groups for their empowerment. To fulfill its mission, ONGED works in the fields of education, health, the environment and climate change, literacy, culture, agro-pastoralism, crafts, the creation and running of training and work workshops, and humanitarian aid.
