  • Missão

The Melody Project is an intergenerational initiative dedicated to reducing loneliness among older adults through music, creativity, and meaningful connection. We bring high school students into nursing homes and assisted living communities to lead interactive sessions that combine live music, collaborative art, and conversation.

By creating spaces for shared expression and storytelling, we aim to foster genuine relationships across generations—transforming moments of isolation into moments of joy, connection, and belonging.

    Sobre Nós

The Melody Project is a youth-led nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing loneliness and social isolation among older adults through intergenerational connection. By bringing high school students and seniors together through music and collaborative arts programming, the organization fosters meaningful relationships, emotional engagement, and a sense of community across generations. Through student-led chapters, The Melody Project offers weekly programming in senior living communities that combines live music, reminiscence-based creative activities, and facilitated discussion. These sessions are designed not only to provide social and emotional support for older adults but also to empower young people with leadership opportunities and a deeper understanding of aging. Grounded in an evidence-based approach, The Melody Project collaborates with academic researchers to evaluate its impact and contribute to broader conversations around community-based interventions for healthy aging.
