Dakota County Braver Angels

Braver Angels of Dakota County brings people together to reduce political division and strengthen our local civic culture. We help neighbors talk with each other across differences, listen with respect, and see each other as people before politics. We stop the engine of dehumanization by choosing curiosity about people we disagree with instead of assuming the worst about them. Our goal is to rebuild trust in our community and remind folks that we are still Minnesotans who can work side by side even when we do not agree.

We are the Dakota County Alliance of Braver Angels. We hold local workshops, community events, and small group conversations throughout Dakota County, including Eagan, Inver Grove Heights, Apple Valley, Rosemount, Farmington, Lakeville, Burnsville, and surrounding areas. Our events are open to anyone who wants to learn how to communicate better across political lines. We welcome conservatives, progressives, independents, and people who are not political at all. We believe that people in our community are tired of the constant outrage and want a healthier way to talk, solve problems, and reconnect with each other. We are volunteers from right here in Dakota County who want to change the tone, not your vote.
