SparkShare

SparkShare's mission is to build youth civic agency across Greater Boston, so that young people from every community have the skills, relationships, and confidence to shape the places they live.

SparkShare equips young people to become collaborative problem-solvers and civic leaders by bringing together teams of high school-age students from diverse communities across Greater Boston, including Dorchester, Roxbury, Mattapan, Brockton, Newton, Needham, and Waltham, to tackle challenges they experience in their own communities. Through three annual full-day Summits, participants develop design thinking, leadership, and collaboration skills while building relationships across communities that rarely have the chance to connect.

This work extends far beyond the Summits. SparkShare supports a growing network of 34 partner youth organizations and is expanding partnerships with healthcare institutions to advance youth well-being and community health. Together, these efforts are building a lasting regional network where young people strengthen their civic agency, improve health outcomes, and create meaningful change across Greater Boston.
