Climate Restoration Program

The Climate Restoration Program is startup nonprofit with a big mission: Restore safe, preindustrial CO2 levels by 2050. We'll be using the full spectra of media to shift the climate conversation so that restoring a safe climate becomes the global goal of climate action. And to garner needed backing for projects that do the job.

Official climate action aims only to reduce emissions. Most people don't realize that's only half the job! To restore a climate fit for humans, not alligators in the Arctic, we also need to remove a trillion tons of CO2 from the sky. That's the excess we've built up over the last 200 years. That's what's causing most of the climate chaos. That's what we need to remove.

The Climate Restoration Program is the hub of climate restoration research and action. The Program provides the most comprehensive knowledge base on climate-restoration solutions, updates on their progress, and opportunities to engage.
