Midland Care Meals on Wheels

Founded in 1972 as Mobile Meals of Topeka, Inc., Meals on Wheels Eastern Kansas delivers a hot meal Monday through Friday to homebound citizens in Shawnee, Douglas, and Jefferson Counties who are unable to provide proper nourishment for themselves. Volunteers pick up meals between 10:30-11am, and it takes about an hour to deliver them. Delivering a hot meal and safety check helps make it possible for seniors to live independently in their own homes for as long as possible. Yours may be the only smile some of our clients will see in a day.
