Joy Card Project - Make a Difference

Joy Card Project's mission is to spread compassion and kindness through small acts that make a meaningful difference in people's lives. Volunteers create handmade cards and messages of encouragement for patients, healthcare workers, and community members who need support.

That same spirit of compassion inspired the launch of Scolio Dance Initiative.

We need caring volunteers to make cheerful cards with uplifting messages for senior citizens. Then volunteers will deliver the cards to a senior citizen facility (ex. assisted living, memory care facility, senior centers, et.) using the Joy Card Project cover sheet and information page printout found on our website at https://sites.google.com/view/joycardprojectnonprofit/volunteer-opportunities. Send photos of the cards and the facility they were delivered to so we can feature you on our website and/or instagram page @joy_card_project .

Individuals can make one card or groups can make a hundred cards. We firmly believe in the transformative power of small gestures, recognizing that even the simplest acts of kindness can make a lasting impact. No kind act is too small. Even ONE card can make all the difference in someone's life.

We have launched an exciting new volunteer opportunity through the Scolio Dance Initiative. Volunteer from home when you have free time to hear volunteer hours and make a measurable impact in the community. in the 70's and 80's many states mandated scoliosis screenings in school. However, these mandates were suspended or limited due to lack of funding and staff. Scolio Dance Initiative is spreading scoliosis awareness through no-cost/low-cost digital flyers by urging schools, who once provided in-school screenings, to distribute these flyers in their parent newsletters and daily bulletins. Volunteers will advocate for scoliosis awareness flyers to be distributed through emails and phone calls. Join us to make a real impact in our community and advocate for student wellness and health!
