Our mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of young people by providing unique artistic and athletic experiences and performances, and to assist them in achieving the highest standards of professionalism through the development of discipline, skill, confidence, cooperation, leadership, responsibility and character.

At SoulPhamm, our vision is to inspire virtue, equity, unity, justice, faith, charity, and a shared sense of purpose and brotherhood among all people. We place special emphasis on empowering young people through education, athletics, service, and the arts.

SoulPhamm was incorporated as a nonprofit organization in the state of New Jersey on June 25, 2021. It is the heartfelt creation of Coach Luis (“Lou”) Herrera, whose passion for youth development continues to shape our mission today. The organization is currently led by his widow, Dr. Leisa Herrera (Mz. Doc).

Our organization provides young people with training in a wide range of sports and performing arts, as well as meaningful opportunities to showcase their talents through competition and performance. By combining athletic and artistic instruction with mentoring, life skills development, community service, and academic enrichment, we nurture well-rounded scholar-athletes who are prepared to face and overcome life’s challenges.

Although Coach Lou passed away unexpectedly in January 2021, his legacy lives on through SoulPhamm. The organization officially launched on June 26, 2021, his birthday weekend, and each year, on the fourth Saturday of June, we celebrate both our founding and the accomplishments of our young people as a lasting tribute to his life and vision.
