    Sobre Nós

Dyslexia Tutoring Program (DTP) provides free one-on-one tutoring, professional assessments, and other services to low-income children and adults with dyslexia or language-based differences in greater Baltimore. Since 1985, we have helped thousands of individuals learn how to read and live with hope.

We also offer complementary programs to support our students' success in learning and life. Each year, DTP sends as many students as we can fund to summer camps designed for dyslexic learners. And during the school year, our Be Well program offers after school mental wellness sessions to help our students and their parents cope with the challenges they face in their classrooms and communities.

Why do we do this? Students with dyslexic learning styles learn differently. And need to be taught differently. But specialized resources that can help - like one-on-one tutoring - are costly and out of reach for low-income students. That's where DTP and its volunteer tutors come in. We provide all of our services free of charge. Because everything begins with reading. And we believe no one should be unable to read because of how they learn or how much they earn.

We invite you to help us change lives ... one word at a time!
