Temple Beth Sholom is an independent congregation dedicated to creating an inclusive, multi-generational village rooted in joyful Judaism, lifelong Jewish learning, Tikkun Olam, and climate action.

Temple Beth Sholom is an independent Jewish community of 140 member households in the San

Francisco Bay Area, committed to joyful Judaism, lifelong learning, Tikkun Olam, and climate action. We

are an inclusive, multi‐generational congregation made up of families and individuals from very diverse

backgrounds and identities, with a warm and informal culture.

Education is central to who we are. Our preschool and after‐school programs are a vibrant hub of

community life. TBS is growing rapidly—membership has increased by more than 50% in recent

years—and we continue to launch innovative programs that reflect emerging trends in American Jewish

life. Like pluralistic Jewish outreach organizations, we meet people where they are and design programs

that fit their needs.

Our senior staff includes a rabbi, cantor, and executive director.
