MAPLE STREET CHAPEL PRESERVATION SOCIETY INC

The chapel was the home of Lombard's first church. In the early years it also served as the village hall and its bell summoned the fire department. As the church and its activities grew, a new church building was built in 1959. Since that time the chapel has been recognized as a historic landmark, hosting concerts, tours, and available as a wedding venue. The challenge of the Maple Street Chapel Preservation Society is to proactively maintain & preserve the structure, and make necessary improvements to meet today's needs. We raise funds for these efforts, and find new ways to make the chapel a gathering place for the community.
