Action For Nature is a San Francisco-based non-profit seeking applications from students ages 8-16 for its annual International Eco-Hero Youth Awards. This program recognizes the individual accomplishments of young people whose personal actions have significantly improved the environment. Applications judged according to several criteria, including, but not limited to:
– Originality, Difficulty and Organization
– Length of time devoted to the project
– Influencing/educating others
– Use of outside resources (e.g., library, experts, media, community leaders)
– Degree of success in reaching goals
– The impact on the environment
Winners receive a cash prize up to $500 and a special certificate of achievement, as well as public recognition and media coverage. Apply by February 28th.
