The Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy is dedicated to conserving and stewarding lands and waters of the Mohawk and Hudson River Valleys for the benefit of people and the environment.
We are a land trust working to conserve land in Albany, Schenectady, and Montgomery counties in New York. Our organization was founded in 1992 and, to date, we have permanently protected 16,000 acres across our service area. We operate 23 public preserves and maintain more than 50 miles of public hiking trails, in addition to assisting private landowners with their conservation objectives. MHLC also works in partnership with municipalities, counties, and partner organizations to protect and preserve landscapes and outdoor recreational opportunities in the Capital Region and beyond.
