Hawaii Technology Academy is a tuition-free, WASC accredited, public charter school. Serving more than 1,200 students on school campuses with more than 100 faculty and staff across four islands (Hawaii Island, Kauai, Maui, and Oahu), HTA is Hawaii's largest statewide public charter school. With a truly diverse student population (32% of students are white, 25% are Native Hawaiian, 13% are Hispanic/Latinx and 25% are low-income), HTA is on the leading edge of blended learning at the K-12 level, providing students with a combination of face-to-face instruction, virtual instruction, and independent learning. Partnering with Learning Coaches (usually the student's parent), HTA students are guided by certified educators who support them in their academic, technological and social development. HTA’s highly qualified teachers design and deliver innovative, project-based, Common Core-aligned curriculum in face-to-face classrooms and virtual learning platforms. HTA’s blended learning model allows for a true parent-teacher partnership in the education of children.
