The Anna Tasca Lanza Foundation is a nonprofit initiative focused on the educational aspects of collecting, promoting, and exchanging Mediterranean food culture with other world food traditions. Through programming rooted in collective food stories, the Foundation fosters cross-cultural understanding and connection. A central component of its work is Cook the Farm, a hands-on, place-based experiential program that reconnects individuals with food, land, and community. The Foundation does not provide academic or classroom-based instruction; instead, participants learn through direct engagement with farmers, food producers, artisans, and cultural practitioners. Through these immersive experiences, the Foundation preserves local knowledge and deepens public understanding of sustainable agriculture, biodiversity, and regional culinary heritage.

In addition to its experiential programs, the Foundation engages in community partnerships and capacity-building initiatives that support the vitality of local food cultures.
